Red Mountain Review attempts to address books, film, musical albums, and performances in an effort to understand the message these arts works have for us in our current situation.

The site provides a platform for those who wish to share their reviews with others. At the reviewer’s choice, the editor can open or close discussion of the review. Many of us enjoy sharing our thoughts and recollections gathered over the course of the decades, and our world is made richer when we do. This platform is designed in part to facilitate that effort.

At the moment the site has two editors, Haynes Horne (hphorne@yahoo.com) and Robin Jackson (emilyrobin54@yahoo.com). We encourage you to submit your ideas for publication for discussion with the editors. You can see Carolynn Moore’s contribution in “The Moral Ground of JFK’s Assassination,” a review of James Douglass’ study, JFK and the Unspeakable. Some of you may know James from the gatherings at the Five Points Fountain designed to raise awareness of the permanent wars of our time. We look forward to more community input and discussion.

Robin has provided a full review of the recent performance of “Romeo and Juliet,” at the BJCC. Haynes has provided several abbreviated reviews of texts and musical albums, mainly to fill out the structure of the site and provide a more complete overview for the new reader. Both editors have more reviews coming. Join us if you wish. A “Follow the Blog” widget is should appear soon.

The editors decided to launch Red Mountain Review to coincide with Randy Wyatt’s annual Six Mile Music Festival. We hope to publish some interviews with musicians as well as some reviews of their performances. And we’d like to thank Randy for continuing the festival despite the complications of the last couple of years. It would have been easier to quit in disgust. He perservered.
